Peanuts ,Sesame seeds and Coconut Ladoo / Healthy Winter Treats


One can easily associate winters in India with power pack energy balls called laddos !! Many types of ladoos are made generally in every household using nuts, oily seeds and jaggery. Today , i am sharing an extremely easy and fuss free ladoo recipe made from dry Coconut , Peanuts , Sesame seeds and Jaggery. These healthy goodies are flavorful treats for kids and serve as healthy breakfast option for one and all.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup grated dry Coconut
  • 1 cup Peanuts
  • 1 cup Sesame seeds
  • 1 cup grated Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder 
Method:
  1. Dry roast the sesame seeds and peanuts separately on a heated skillet. Remove the skin off the peanuts and grind peanuts to powder in a grinder.


  2.  Grate the coconut and crush or grate the Jaggery.



   3.  In a heated non stick pan add the grated Jaggery and ghee and mix. Let the jaggery completely melt on a low flame. Add in the peanut powder and roasted sesame seeds first into the meted jaggery and blend well. 




   4.  To this mixture add the grated coconut and Cardamom powder. Mix well and put off the flame. Let the mixture cool a bit, enough to handle and roll out small ladoos out of them. 



   5. These simple peanut, sesame seeds and coconut ladoos can be stored at room temperature for about 2 weeks. Enjoy these healthy winter treats with your loved ones !
