Almond and Chocolate Ladoo / Healthy Kids Recipe / Diwali Sweet Recipe - Festive Cooking


 This Diwali go trendy by giving our Indian traditional ladoos a new makeover . How about blending all time favorite Chocolate with super nutritious Almonds ?? A beautiful combination of  health and taste. This beautiful ladoos are not only a healthy breakfast option but also make a great give-away as well !

                             

My today's post is dedicated to my dear friend and a fellow blogger Seema . I have selected her recipe , as she is celebrating her Blog anniversary today. You can find the original recipe at http://mildlyindian.blogspot.my/2015/09/almond-and-chocolate-ladoos.html .  

I have made this ladoos using  just 2 ingredients. Chocolate flavored cooking bar and Almonds. A very easy recipe to treat your taste buds .

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Almond
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate flavored cooking bar (150 grams)

Method:
  1. Dry roast the Almonds on a heated skillet for 1-2 minutes , let them cool and grind to a coarse powder in a grinder.

     2.  Break the Chocolate cooking bar into small pieces and keep it to melt in a oven in a microwave safe bowl . It will take around 2 minutes for the chocolate to melt completely. Open the Microwave after every 30 seconds and mix the Chocolate.




       3.    Let the melted Chocolate to cool down a little and then add the Almond powder and mix properly with a spatula, alternatively you can drizzle the melted chocolate to the powder little by little and mix.  This should appear like a crumbled mass, which can be rolled out.



    4.  Grease your palms with few drops of ghee and roll out small portion into a ball shape . Repeat the same for rest of the mixture.


   5.  You can make small ladoos and top Chironji over it or make bigger ones and garnish them with Almonds.
